For the "Diamond_16_Puzzle" folder....

This is a permutation puzzle designed by Steven H. Cullinane. It illustrates mathematical principles of symmetry and group theory.

I. If you are using Windows --

Double-click "puzzle.hta" to view the puzzle.

You can also view the same puzzle, under the name "puzzle.html," by double-clicking on that file name....
UNLESS you are using Windows XP Service Pack 2, in which case "puzzle.html" will not work with the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser (although it will work with, say, the Netscape 7.2 browser).

If you have saved the downloaded puzzle folder to your "C:\Program Files" folder, the shortcut labeled "Diamond 16 Puzzle" in this puzzle folder should let you view the puzzle using the Windows built-in Microsoft HTML Application Host. You can copy the shortcut to your startup menu or some other menu if you like.

II. If you are using some other operating system --

The puzzle has not been tested with systems other than Windows. Try opening the "puzzle.html" file with whatever browser you prefer. If this works, you may want to delete from the puzzle folder the "puzzle.hta" file (a copy of "puzzle.html" that is only for Windows users) and the "Diamond 16 Puzzle" shortcut.
